Family & Friends Initiative
Family & Friends Initiative is a local community initiative with a mission to holistically transform communities through various programs. F.F.I evolved from it's music initiative, as a local choir, in 2015, under the direction of the Executive Director, Parrish Davenport. Over the past six years community needs expanded and the choir became a resource hub. Members from neighborhoods began to unite through singing and the choir became a place to obtain resources to improve lives. In 2017 FFI began to branch out and further develop initiatives and programs throughout the Greater Pittsburgh region, with a main focus in Allegheny County. Within the past three years, FFI continues to strive to ensure community members are empowered in the K.N.O.W. (knowledge, network, opportunity, work). Programs such as Adopt-A-School, #y211 and LeadForward , are design to empower youth and adults to bridge the generational gaps and work towards improving where we live by developing as leaders and assuming roles as change catalysts.
